A gift of musical art, a visual master piece from the musical genius, Prince. Though problematic, some may argue that Purple ☔️ Rain was the response to Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Motown as a whole. It was his entrance into mainstream media, bringing along sex, misogyny, sexism, abuse and family trauma that placed Minneapolis in a position to hold its own musically.
