The movie
Show notes
Calling all fans of Brendan Fraser and 90s action-adventure! Join Deric and Ryan for a nostalgic deep dive into the 1999 classic, The Mummy. This episode is equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking. We rave about Brendan Fraser's iconic performance as Rick O'Connell, the film's humor, and the non-stop action sequences. We also tackle the cheesy CGI (looking at you, water ghost), explore the historical liberties the movie takes, and debate Rick's true nationality (American? Canadian? Mystery!). But it's not all about the mummy himself! We dish on our favorite moments, including the scene-stealing antics of the hilarious Benny, and reminisce about the film's impact on our younger selves. So, grab your popcorn, crank up the volume, and get ready for a wild ride with us as we revisit The Mummy!
