Welcome to the CineMcCollough Podcast - specifically all things original Star Trek - episode reviews and rankings, movie reviews and rankings, and Star Trek novel reviews and rankings, compiled over the past six years as an ongoing project of fandom. Lifelong Star Trek fans and Friends "Lord Rob" McCollough and Patrick "Butch" Brennan grew up in the 1980s with the original 1960s Star Trek. Having been born less than a year after Star Trek went off the air, they actually grew up on reruns of the original series, with an occasional theatrical movie ever few years, as well as the thing that REALLY bonded them, dozens of Star Trek novels that were released throughout the 1970s and 1980s and today. When Rob and Butch decided to start a podcast, fortuitously in December 2019, right before the COVID pandemic, they had a few topics that seemed like obvious topics - Star Trek being the primary one (along with the films of Alfred Hitchcock, the sport of boxing, and movies in general. Being lifelong list-makers, Butch and Rob had ranked all 79 original Star Trek episodes on the way home from their 30th high school reunion in 2018, so they recorded their episode reviews as a countdown of the entire series run, from their least favorite episode to their most favorite (inviting our pal Jeremy "Jay Dawg" Forman, who is a casual Trek fan, to join us). Later came reviews of all 14 Bantam Books Star Trek novels, followed by reviews and rankings of the great Pocket Books Star Trek novels from their childhood, starting with the first 50, selected randomly for re-reading, discussion and ranking in what is now their current ongoing Star Trek podcast project. We have even done reviews of the Peter Pan Star Trek record-and-book adventures from the mid-1970s! This podcast feed will include episodes, in recording order, covering th Star Trek original series movie (1979-1991) reviews and rankings; Star Trek novels from Bantam Books (1968-1981) and Pocket Books (1981-1992); CineMcCollough is w
