For some background, Movie Clinic began and continues as a regular column in Film Stories Magazine, founded by Simon Brew. As a filmmaker and Therapist (BACP), I’ve always been fascinated by the films we connect with and how they allow us to connect with others. As well as the parallels between the therapeutic space and that of cinema, environments which we’ve permission to explore our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, safely and without judgement.
