Releasing from IFC Midnight this weekend, " Demonic " represents many firsts for " District 9 " director Neil Blomkamp. It's the first time he's working within the horror genre. The film also marks the return of the director to low-budget filmmaking after his first three films employed higher budgets and visual effects. This also marks the first time he's working with cinematographer Byron Kopman on one of his feature-length films.
