Before Jason picked up the machete, it was his mother doing the killing. In this episode, we unravel the twisted heart of Friday the 13th : Pamela Voorhees—a mother driven mad by grief, guilt, and revenge. Often overlooked, she was horror’s first slasher villain in the franchise, turning maternal instinct into murderous rage. But the horror doesn’t stop at Crystal Lake. We dive into the real-life Lake Bodom murders of 1960 in Finland, where three teenagers were brutally killed while camping. Like Pamela’s rampage, the case centers around youth, isolation, and unanswered grief—and remains one of Europe’s most haunting unsolved crimes.
