Show notes
To mark the 5 year anniversary of the UK release of Jordan Peele's instant classic, 'Get Out' , Bankole & Ebuka venture into the sunken place to talk about it in the context of another 'social thriller' from last year, Edgar Wright's 'Last Night in Soho' . They first give their thoughts on 'Last Night in Soho' (4:25) before talking about its spoilers (11:08) and then its themes, including what it says about the toxicity of nostalgia (18:14). Then they go all in on 'Get Out' (32:46) and how it portrays the toxicity of white allyship (45:24).
