Richard grew up watching Butch Patrick in just about everything from Shazam (1974), Lidsville (1971-72), The Phantom Tollbooth (1970), The Munsters (1964-66), and The Monkees 1967 Christmas episode. In that episode Butch plays Melvin Vandersnoot, a child of 10 going on 65 with no Christmas spirit.
