The movie
Show notes
Guest Joe McDonnell started out just looking for a podcast that discussed Tim Burton's only directed sequel, Batman Returns . Little did he know he would soon be taking part in a conversation as a guest on a show doing exactly that. Rafe and Joe discuss how well Burton's Batman follow up holds up today, the impact of stuffing a superhero film with villains, and how contested classifying Batman Returns as "a movie for kids" or "a movie for adults" wound up being, to the point that even McDonalds had an opinion on the matter. Follow Rafe on Twitter and Letterboxd . Joe McDonnell is part of the Out of Boundz podcast, which can be found at Sideline Coverage .
