Show notes

Join us for this week's episode where we have our first major disagreement over a film. Fresh from it leading the Oscar nominations field, we discuss David Fincher's 'Mank' , the biographical-drama starring Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried, about the screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and the writing of the 1941 classic 'Citizen Kane'. Leaving the smouldering ruins of our disagreement behind us, we also chat about the 2011 buddy-drama film 'The Intouchables' (dirs. Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano), the 1972 political thriller 'State of Siege' (dir. Costa-Gravas), a new spoof mockumentary 'Rewind Britain' (dir. Leo Leigh), and a 2018 documentary about an early cinema pioneer 'Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché' (dir. Pamela B. Green).
