Show notes
Its's a new first in the history of this podcast, because this time we are covering a recommendation from one of our listener, so don't hesitate to do the same because, as you can see, we listen! Plus, it just happened that neither of us had seen this movie, so we had the pleasure of discovering another movie featuring Wong-jin 's talent as a scriptwriter to adapt two of famous novelist, script writer and talk show host, Ni Kuang 's creation, Dr Yuen (played here by Siu Ho-chin from Mr Vampire ) and Wisely (played by Chow-yun fat ). The two heroes, or mostly Dr Yuen to be honest, embark on an adventure influenced by the same pulp stories that gave birth to Indiana Jones, featuring a few monsters and some gore. A truly exciting movie with subtle nods to various production for an original results fans of adventure stories, pulp and just all out Hong Kong cinema creativity will enjoy.
