Today on The Cinedicate, Hector from ReShoot and Carla of WSTR join the roundtable to discuss why Everything Everywhere All At Once is the best incarnation of what a multiverse film can be. Join us as we unpack the themes at the core of the film that harken back to the nihilist German play 'Faust' by Goethe with the Mephistophelian bargain. We also discuss when you peel back the fantastical sc-fi wrapper, the core story is a story that we can all relate to. Everything Everywhere All At Once follows Evelyn, a woman who is being audited by the IRS for her fledgling laundromat business encounters the truth that her universe is in a long list of parallel universes. Unfortunately, all universes hang in the balance as a powerful force also crosses Evelyn's path and she is the only one that can stop it. ---------- Listen to Hector on ReShoot: An Amateur's Guide to Gooder Film Listen to Carla on WSTR: Galactic Public Access ---------- Support The Cinedicate on Patreon Connect with The Cinedicate on these social platforms!
