This year McClendon has won the "Best Editing" award at the British Independent Film Awards, the Boston Society of Film Critics Awards, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards. More will surely follow... He is also nominated at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Aftersun was directed by Charlotte Wells and stars Paul Mescal and Frankie Corio.
