Now that we're firmly in 2021, and with less than 5 months to go until the Oscars, this week's episode of Classic Movies Live! begins our yearly Oscars coverage! First up, our hosts discuss a likely contender for several categories at this year's Academy Awards, including Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Picture: Minari ! When Korean-Americans Jacob (Steven Yeun) and Monica (Han Ye-ri) move to Arkansas to start a farm, their family... well, mostly just wants to go back to California. Not long after, Monica's mother Soonja (Youn Yuh-jung) moves in with them, much to the chagrin of Jacob and Monica's son, David (Alan S. Kim). Will Jacob become a successful farmer?
