The 14th film in the DC Cinematic Universe was directed by Angel Manuel Soto and stars Xolo Mariduena, Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, Susan Sarandon & George Lopez. In Palmera City, Jaime Reyes has returned home only to find out his family and city have fallen into hard times both emotionally and financially. However, one fateful day Jaime’s whole world changed after he is given a sentient weapon that bonds with his body and turns him into a superhero. DC’s change up to their management has explained that “Blue Beetle” will be the next step in a new cinematic universe, helmed by James Gunn.
