The movie
Show notes
l inktr.ee/CatchingUpOnCinema This April, Catching Up On Cinema becomes “Catching Up On Kayfabe,” a pro-wrestling podcast! All month long we'll be reviewing WWF/WWE shows from 1998, The Attitude Era. This week, to close out our month of pro-wrestling related content, Kyle and Trevor sit down to review Darren Aronofsky's, The Wrestler (2008)! Starring Mickey Rourke as an aging pro-wrestler, and Marisa Tomei as a stripper looking for a way out, the film is a thoughtful and gripping human drama that is highly respectful of the art of pro-wrestling.
