This week, 3 Guys and a Flick pulls up a chair, breaks out the duct tape, and dives into the 1997 crime thriller Suicide Kings. Four rich young guys think kidnapping a retired mob boss is the smart way to save a missing sister and collect a ransom. Unfortunately for them, Christopher Walken is not the kind of guy you tie to a chair and walk away from clean. Don, Jon, and Ken break down this 90s cocktail of crime, bad decisions, dark comedy, and gangster cool. They talk Walken’s quiet menace, Denis Leary’s scene-stealing chaos, the movie’s slick style, its “play dumb games, win dumb prizes” energy, and an ending that may have needed a little more time in the trunk. There’s trivia, spoilers, questionable plans, severed fingers, and plenty of debate over whether Suicide Kings is an underrated cult crime flick or a ransom note that never quite gets paid off.
