IS THE DARK KNIGHT THE GREATEST POST-9/11 FILM? | Movie Review. Josh, Nick, and Neal are back to revisit Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (2008)—a film that many consider one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. The guys break down Christian Bale’s Batman, Heath Ledger’s legendary Joker, Aaron Eckhart’s Harvey Dent, Gary Oldman’s Jim Gordon, and the film’s transformation of the superhero genre into something closer to a gritty crime thriller. But there’s a bigger question at the center of this review: Is The Dark Knight the greatest post-9/11 film? Josh, Nick, and Neal discuss the movie’s themes of terrorism, chaos, morality, surveillance, escalation, and the difficult choices its characters make. They also examine why the film continues to resonate more than a decade after its release and whether it truly deserves its reputation as one of the greatest films of the 21st century. 🦇 Is The Dark Knight the greatest Batman movie ever made?
