The movie
Show notes
2007’s Hot Rod . Is this one of the most perfectly stupid comedies of the 2000s, or is it really just a bunch of hilarious Lonely Island sketches loosely stitched together into a movie? Why does Andy Samberg falling down a mountain somehow get funnier the longer it goes? Is “Cool Beans” comedy genius or absolute nonsense? Is Will Arnett the ultimate douchebag boyfriend? Is Danny McBride stealing nearly every scene he’s in? Grab your Jofa helmet, drink some green tea, reinforce the takeoff ramp (or don’t) and prepare to party. Cool beans. •0:00:00 - Introductions •0:03:00 - Memories of first viewing •0:07:30 - Pertinent movie details •0:11:45 - Critical and fan reviews •0:20:00 - Scene by scene breakdown •1:28:00 - Modern day ratings ———————————————————— LIVE PODCAST- October 10th in Cedar Rapids, IA- https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-confused-breakfast-a-live-podcast-recording-tickets-1026951990047 —————————————————————— SPONSORS- **Butcher Box- Go to http://butcherbox.com/breakfast to get 20% off your first box plus your choice of free ground beef for life or free chicken thighs on or top sirloins in every box for a year. **Cedar Ridge Distillery- Go check out our sponsor and order some whiskey. http://cedarridgewhiskey.com **K12- See how K12 Powered Schools can help unlock your child’s full potential.
